Default Rain/fire

I don't see it in the news, is the rain that we're getting in central Alberta also falling up north, knocking the wild fires down?

Not that I saw anyway, the rest of the province needs it as well, but it would be nice to get it up there too!

They need cool temperatures and long steady rain so it can saturate the ground. Heavy rain in the peat and muskeg just runs away or sits on the ground, doesn't really penetrate. That's a huge part of the problem, the peat will smolder deep for months and can eventually rekindle down the road.

WE have had 4 inches so far and it is still raining. The fields have puddles, haven't seen that in awhile.

Good luck with the fires, this amount of rain would put it out in no time.

Default Fire Rain

It would be nice if more rain on Ft. Mac fire but this rain and snow is preventing more fires by keeping all the campers and quaders inside.
