Default Modified Case 300wsm??

Anyone have a modified case for a 300wsm? They are quite hard to find and I prefer the hornady MC method for OAL vs the barrel to action rod or permanent marker!!!!

Thank you

Get a flat based bullet and load it upsidedown. It will run up to the lands measure the oal then use a spare sized and measured case to check properly seated bullets and subtract the case and bam a measument right to your lands from your bolt face

I have the tap and drill to thread to the Stoney Point comparator, when I get caught up with load development I could thread one and send it. I am a bit curious as to why its needed. The reason I have one is it appeared to be something I couldn't live without. The fact is you will never get the same reading twice with it. Since I threw it into long term storage my groups are getting better, allowing more time to work on stuff that matters.

Obsessed has right idea.

You are right DaleJ, I am more of a guy who needs to try something and move on! I have been doing fine without it but curiosity always gets me!

You could also send two fired cases to Hornady and they will modify one for you and return the other if they don't need it. I just had a 280 Ackley modified case made by them. Total cost was about $27.50 as I recall. Instructions and address are on their website.
