Supreme Court unanimously dismisses B.C. appeal of Trans Mountain
The province was asking Canada’s top court to find that B.C. has jurisdiction over what flows through the pipeline expansion project from Alberta, but the Supreme Court has found that control over the contents of the natural energy project is fully federal jurisdiction.

Common sense prevails over internationally sponsored Canadian economic terrorism

Wow, that’s good news! I’m so accustomed to being screwed by both the courts and the government that I’m frankly a bit surprised

This is excellent news.
I can just see the hippies winding up to tie themselves to trees and play more games with blockades, protests and other unlawful nonsense.
Maybe if we told them there's no vegan menu in prison after we arrest them all, they may deter some of them.

I was joking today with a client as we filled out FLHA’s that the gov’t should have WCB and CRA monitoring protesters (some are gettin paid). “No confined space or fall arrest tickets? You can’t protest without those!” “Have you got your protesting FLHA filled out? Nope? You’re banned from site’”, now vamoose!”
CRA: “We have numerous news articles and photos over the last few years where you’ve been documented as attending a number of protests, we also checked you bank records and have unexplained deposits from ‘environmental’ organizations but you didn’t claim them as income, please step into our mobile office”

I will believe that the pipeline will happen when oil starts flowing through it.

The people that were paying the protestors and chiefs previously, will offer more cash to delay things, they aren't going to give up easily. The only way to stop it is to make it illegal to pay people to protest and then arrest all paid protestors and hand out harsh sentences to all involved.

Canada doesn't do harsh sentences. Not even for murder.

It only took the Supreme Court 30 minutes to make a unanimous ruling that no province has right to control what flows in pipeline. When will the fools finally give up, this is something like 14+ court cases that have been thrown out in BC in last 10 years relating to TMX. Some people never learn to "Quit Beating a Dead Horse" More pipe going into ground ever day, line will be completed to Edson soon. Workers have good jobs and our oil will be flowing to International markets. Great day for Canada.

Kinda funny how much of the peoples money provinces and the feds **** away on court cases they have no chance of winning. Could the main objective just be to support certain big law firms, lawyers and corporations who have been supporters in the past and offer future considerations to the politicians post retirement.

Take the cost of the lawsuits and protest patrolling plus damages out of the yearly treaty money. Keep deducting and watch the fight dwindle to a whimper.

Complaints about Greta doing a documary in Canada with a crew from BBC resulted in nothing.
She and others should pay Canadian taxes for work done in Canada.
Also should be banned for re-entry for not disclosing.
Paid protesters in the past have been flown and bussed from the US. Wage was reportedly $25 US per hour. Pay was extended if arrested.
US asked someone out East their reason for travel. Canadian said to protest Trump. Border refused entry. WTH?

Absolutely correct, I said something like that years back, if they want to ignore court orders then time to play hard ball, all transfer payments stop until the protests and blockades stop, you can bet the boys would be gone in a week, if they had done it years ago the pipeline would be 1/2 built by now.

Absolutely should happen
Though I don’t think the fight would dwindle, as the yanks, saudis and UN have plenty more cash to throw at the more equals

This is very good news ! I am currently working on projects for this pipeline expansion and my job is riding on it I’m sure. Having that said, I’m kind of thinking possibly...there is someone up above looking out for me right now as there’s no other way to explain it. When a man looses all hope and the ball starts rolling what can you say really.....not sure it’s coincidence.

Burnaby spent over a million dollars fighting TMX.
How much has B.C. spent now? Since they lost I hope Alberta/Feds/Canada made a claim for legal costs.
Has to be close to $20 MM factoring in lawyers, appeals, court costs, provincial employees time, etc. Then lost revenue from the pipeline would be so much more.
BC stated in the media that their NG pipeline is settled in law and the courts and infer people should stop fighting it.
Lol. Greens are whimped wimps. They don’t want the NG pipeline and are not being true to their cause and cratering the government.
Instead they are sticking their moral heads in the sand and turning a blind eye to their values. Lol.

"Introduced Monday, Bill 12 or Preserving Canada’s Economic Prosperity Act, is aimed at the B.C. government, which has obstructed the construction of Kinder Morgan Inc.’s $7.4-billion Trans Mountain pipeline expansion to the West Coast. But the powers in the new legislation go far beyond restricting oil flowing through the Trans Mountain system."
AND
"When in force, the law would require companies to obtain a licence from the minister to send crude oil, natural gas or refined fuels such as gasoline out of the province in any direction and on any form of transportation, including pipelines, railway cars or trucks."
The BC Hypocrites want to burn our gasoline and Jet Fuel, but don't want our Oil Exported off their shore.
Now they cannot control what is flowing in the pipe.
So, its time to make a point for BC and the FEDERAL Hypocrites, so they have a little appreciation for Alberta.
TURN OFF THE TAPS!

Ha ha
Protesters of the CGL pipeline are disrupting ferries in BC.
https://news.google.com/articles/CBM...A&ceid=CA%3Aen
BC enabled these fanatics and gave them credibility and a voice in TMX. Now they attack the hand that feeds them. Serves them all right.

Its BS that they put up with all these blockades. People have a right to peaceful protest. They do not have a right to block legally sanctioned activities and transportation corridors etc. with their protests. These blockades should be taken down within the day. Round up the protesters and get them out of the way. If they are nice about it then let them out at the nearest park to continue their protest. If they fight then off to the slammer for a cool down followed by a $1000 fine for public interference. Also they should be on the hook for any lost $'s caused by the blockade.

BC isn't the only one guilty of enabling these fanatics, our "esteemed" PM and the virtous, keyboard social, media activists who are cheering them on are guilty as well. Meanwhile, all that is accomplished is people are angry, First Nation communites who signed agreements are being denied economic prosperity and our nation further divides.
