Default 7mile flats

just wondering if anyone is haveing any luck with the elk around the 7mile flats area? besides the decoy the fish cops put up??

Default seven mile flats

was out there on monday looking around not much sign anywhere.I always find more elk in seven mile in november once the cows are out and there is lots of snow.

ya i hear ya. have called bulls in but its hard there all on the west side of road where its draw.

Default hey

Is 7mile in the 326 ive only been up there twice as i am new to hunting alberta this year and heard there is alot of elk up that way...i am not hunting elk this year woulnt mine going up to take a few pics of a herd or two thanks

yep its in 326. there is elk everywere its just locating them.if you want to get pics. go to yaha tinda in like feb, they herd up there and if you time it with cold and snowy weather you can see hundreds. p.s watch out for the elk decoy, its a real mounted elk that moves!!

well i called it, had no luck sat morning for elk so decided to go into 420 where i have seen some big whiteys. come around the corner and in the clear cut, here are 15cows with a big 6x6 bull standing in the corner. he was only about 70yards away, thats the way my luck rolls!

That is of no surprise. I have hunted 326 and 420 in and around the 7 mile flats area. Elk populations in those zones are not the healthiest according to the biologist. There are some around but i have a feeling it is later on closer to the end of the season.

Just my thoughts.
