Take extra supplies and a pillow...Just stay in the stand overnight.
Or wear a helmet with flashing strobe lights and really loud sirens when you walk out in the dark. And have a jacket with nails sticking out all over.

While I understand the OP's excitement to post these pictures, all it does is take away from us.
Soon someone will ask what zone or area that was in, and then one of the many enforcement officers that lurke here will take note. A few instances and next thing you know baiting is closed in that zone forever.
Anyone who spends anytime in the woods west of Calgary or Edmonton knows there's tons of grizzlies, too many in fact. If one hits your bait site just don't go back for a month and then go get your stuff.
Posting pictures I'm sure helped shut down the last 2 zones.
Long overdue now for a season on those buggers.

My first thought was Grizz too.
Which two zones were shut down? Was 507 one of them?

I see the dish-shaped facial profile, shoulder hump, and smaller ears of a grizz.

Part of 507 last year, 349 before that.
That's up here, I have no idea what they've done south.

This is old stuff. F&W are well aware of where grizzlies are in the baiting zones.
I'd like to know how much SSS is happening and why many more of the zones aren't closed?

i understand you're concern CB lol but i wasn't expecting him to visit not
totally surprised but as has been said i'm sure FAW are very aware how many
areas have them where black bear baiting happens just take a look at the changes made to snaring in a lot of zones being moved later to allow the grizz to go to bed any one can ask what zone don't mean i will or have to reply and the bait was abandoned as soon as pics where checked more or less a heads up for people when going into bait u never know what may be around

Actually I'm not convinced they are all that concerned about grizzlies. Less bears means less work! People are tripping over them in baiting areas and yet there does seem to be noticeably less of them in the mountains which has reversed itself for some reason. One trapper in the mountains told me he had seen one track in the last four years? He was fine with that.

I have never seen a grizz in person.
And have hunted in many black bear bait friendly zones.

It is impossible in any one of those pictures at first glance to remotely mistake that bear as a black bear.
That is a great looking grizzly.
