I'd say it's worth about $500. PM me your address and I'll be right there to pick it up. Thanx!

If you want to move it - put it up for $2900. Take $2500 and all parties have a fair deal.

Just like to add the boat is a 2006 and barely used. And 14" rims on the trailer....brand new.

I was shocked to find a 1999 campion style fibreglass ski boat with 115hp engine for $4500, then found a 2006 with a 115 hp engine for $4500, then found a 2007 inboard 4.3 for $5000. These aren't wrecks either, they look like new on shiny trailers. (facebook sales forums)

If you get $2500 you are doing very well, there are tons of boats for sale.

That is an extremely popular boat.
I would be asking a lot closer to $4,500 than $2,500.

I agree - And there is the problem with most boats - resale sucks.

To replace the OP's boat with a new one, you are probably $10,000.

Unfortunately, like you said, from about $4000 to $10,000 you find some very good boats, much larger and newer, many hardly used, at 10%-20% of replacement value for a new one.

It's my opinion, a boat like that is something I wouldn't sell if I had the room to keep it. You basically get a few grand for it .....

Pretty much the same story for older ATV's or sleds.

If the motor was the same age as the boat, there would be more $$ there. I would say $ 2,500 to $ 3,000. I know in the first province to the east of you, used boats are still pulling in a good dollar.

I recommend testing the "waters" with an ad similar to this one.

My brother sold a similar boat, (not a lund) for $2500. I would suggest somewhere between $3000 to 3700. The motor if taken care of and not scratched up isn't that old. Although there are larger boats out there each size has a niche to fill. If it were me I would start around 2700 to 2900 obo and see what happens.

I wrote wrong. I meant to say I would start somewhere around 3700 to 3900 and go from there. The fact that it is a lund gives more value as well. Others will disagree but try buying a new one. You can always go down if required but not up.

As many have said, boats don't hold value...but tinners without wiring/floors/other stuff that can be damaged do better than most. Depends how fast you want to move it. Very good condition and not in a hurry, start at $4000. Want it gone quick, $2500. Anything in between is probably fair.

Default that boating package is worth ...

5K ...

that's wat i'd start at on kijiji, take lots of pics of motor without cowling inside and out of boat, trailer - tires ect

... i wouldn't go much lower ^

think of it this way, your trailer alone would fetch $750 easy, the boat 2500 min and your motor - easy 1500 to 2K (as long as this stuff is in good repair with no damage and looked after)

My tinner is a lund 12 with a honda 9.9 4 stroke, boat and motor were new in 2010, i think i have just under 7K into it ...

TBD

PS ... be weary about asking for pricing help on the AO forum, don't be stupid and give that package away for 2500 ...

... best to search the buysell's for comparable equipment to what you have and price relative to that -- if it doesn't sell as fast as you'd like, you can always move the price down !

Here's a comparison of a 2014 (only a couple years old) on Kijiji ...

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-powerboat-mot...ationFlag=true

I agree not to listen to too many people on the internet - price it where you want to - but you are unlikely to get $5000 for a 23 year old motor and boat - despite it looking to be in great shape.

Price it to move it - If you get more than $2500 you have done pretty good.

Sometimes, if there are none for sale, you might get an extra thousand bucks for it, but at the end of the day a brand new package (boat, motor, trailer) is still under $10,000.

Here's one for $4200 ...... with some nice features .... a few years newer, also in good shape as a comparison.

One can easily get a lot closer to $4,000 for that setup.

List it for what you want. If it doesn't sell...keep it or drop the price.

My gut says to move it you need it closer to $3000...however you may get lucky at $4000.

The motor is old and could be a money pit. Guys buying risk that heavily.

Boat is not a deep sided unit so it is more dangerous in waves. It's only use is fishing...so limited market.

No no no. These guys have it all wrong. Put couple hundred dollars worth of splashy decals on that boat/motor and maybe add some halogen lights then take a cool night time pic and price it at 10-15k. Then when someone calls to enquire you hee and haw then capitulate and give them a steal of a deal at 7k. They'll walk away thinking they got the best of the negotiation and you get good $. win win.

Dealers make out great using this formula on $60,70,80k trucks.

Good luck!

A brand new WC 14 sells for around $4,000.00.
Pull it off the lot and that drops to around $2,000.00

Same for the motor and trailer but starting at $1,000.00 less.

You can list it for $5,000.00 and maybe get that much, you will also turn off a lot of potentual buyers, who won't take a second look even if you drop the price.

Lund is one of the best built boats out there, but there are a lot of them for sale. At reasonable prices for those who know what they sell for and where to look for the best prices.

Bottom line, it's a gamble. Shoot for the stars and maybe hit one or list for a bit above the going rate and get it over with.

Only you know what your time is worth and what you are willing to settle for.

Whatever you price it at, clean it very well and polish it. Remove or touch up paint any corrosion spots. Armor all the tires...etc...
It makes a big difference.
