Default Wild Pig Hunting Stettler Area

Does anyone know of any farmers in the Stettler area or own land that would like help hunting the wild pigs? My buddies and I would love to hunt them for you, but we do not know anyone who has this problem. If you know anyone please let me know! I've always wanted to get to hunt them. Thanks

What a generous offer.
I will keep my ear to the ground and let you know.
I'm sure the information will be pouring in any minute now.

Always the first post for asking for locations to pigs, or other game.

Usually followed by, "not looking for your honey holes"... in other words not YOURS but if you want to tell me other people's honey holes I am all game for it.

People are about as anxious to give out their pig hunting locations, as they are to give out their favorite gopher fields or favorite elk hunting spots or favorite perch lakes.

I wonder if asking like that has ever worked out for anyone.

There has been bounties in the past and I bet majority of the hunters on this forum would gladly go help cull some pigs.

The reality is no one is in dire need of hunters to come cull pigs off their land and if they were they would be overwhelmed with willing hunters. I bet anyone who offered access to hunt pigs would have their inbox full of PMs in about 30 seconds

I don’t think the OP is going to get results posting here looking for permission

Walkers had some at one time close to Byemoor (not sure if they still do). Years ago 3 buddies were headed down a back road out hunting, popped over a hill and 2 pigs ran across the road. Like Sawyer Brown sang, the race was on. lol
2 pigs hanging off the front end loader that night. Guessing they were escapees.

Default Pigs

Trying to think of a good place to send him. Pig tracks are very similar to deer tracks.

No one tries harder than me to be nice to new posters, but guys who post this stuff on day one should be punted. Troll. No one could be serious about this question on their first post. No one. I just don’t get this.

One more vote, for contribute something first from your side. Maybe offer to trade an Elk spot for a Pig spot. Otherwise, Safeway sells Pork every day and they are very easy to find.

Exactly, the ironic thing, is that myself and other longer term AO members have been offered access to hunt various species without asking, because we did contribute to the forum, and help out other members.

I would’ve helped him out but I wasn’t sure where to send him since the Kowloon lounge closed in Stettler. Could find a wild pig or two in there most weekends. And probably were quite easy to catch.

Are you suggesting baiting?

Maybe a stick and string with an O' Henry bar tied to the end.....When I read your post, I am still laughing....Gawd that struck me as funny....

Wink Tough crowd

Hey OP, if you don't get any responses to your inquiry on here, I have heard that many have found success on Tinder.

OP, why do you do this to us.

You're a new member and straight out asking for a hunting spot.

Welp. All I can say is let the trolling begin.

Hopefully the OP figures out that most of us(other than those that have no interest in the outdoors, and only come here to debate politics) come here to participate in discussion of the outdoors, and not just to see how we can use the forum for our own benefit.
It's not really a tough crowd, we have just seen far too many people that expect someone else to do all of the research and leg work for them.

This thread is closed. Hopefully the OP has figured out that you can get ahead with the good folks of AO, but it takes a bit of participation and not just instantly given.
