Default Ideas on portable tie organizer

I tie at home and at work on night shift (sweet gig right). I currently have all my stuff crammed in a smaller roughneck but it just sucks. Everytning kinda piled in, hard to organize, hard to carry as it is bulky etc etc. Looking for ideas on a portable container / organizer system that will hold everything but is easy to transport and carry as well as somewhat organized but that i do not need a second mortgage on the house to buy.

I can mount my vise at work so it does not need to have a vise mount.

Looked at soft sided tackle bags, duffel bag with a selection of plastic organizers, commercial portable tie kits like fishpond $$$$, etc but I thought I would get a few opinions here first.

Anybody have any great ideas?

Large Plano fishing tackle box works for me. Once I can't fit anything else in it, I don't need it. My traveling pedestal-mount vice fits in it as well.

I looked at one of those tool boxes with wheels.I think that would be perfect. The ones that look like a tool box or a suitcase.

The plano boxes work great if you get the ones with adjustable slots. The only thing i have found us that scissors don't fit all that well in them

This is my kit. For organizing loose stuff the best item is Ziplock slider bags stapled together at the bottom.

Wow, I wish my home tying area looked that organized!

Item 2 looks like the watchmaker's cases from Lee Valley. I've been using them for years. They come in various sizes and are ideal for storing beads, and likely also hooks in a carry pack.

I made my whole kit portable using a Plano tackle box. And yes it is a little messy right now.

Toughest thing is to decide what you want in that kit. I've been using Plano dry boxes, the Spirit River hook containers, the various dubbing selections like the Stillwater ones. I put together some ziplock type bags with selections of feathers in them, some with flashabous and other shiny stuff, one with hairs, one with foams, a couple containers of threads, one of wires, a roll of lead, one bag of chenilles, one with synthetic streamer materials. I have two of them going now and was considering a third one. I usually buy two of whatever I buy, and toss one in the travel box. It definitely adds up over time.

I used to use a watchmakers case, but I have switched to a pillbox or craft bead case.
