Check out Maptown. They have locations in both Edmonton and Calgary.

Cant find any maps that show ecological, provincial wildland park boundaries in detail. How are we supose to know where the boundaries are if all they give us is a general map with legal land descriptions?

Default RE: maps

If you have the legal locations of the park boundaries then try looking at the map of the local county or MD to see where these boundaries would be. You can get these maps from the county or MD office, some can even be bought from Maptown.

Hope this helps.

Clyde:
do you know how to use shp files?
here are all of the parks and wildland areas in .shp files put out by the government.
http://tprc.alberta.ca/parks/landref...hapefiles.aspx (though I have personally only see paper maps of this info)

you can use gpsbabel to convert the .shp files to whatever you need.
If you only want to use paper maps, email Duke hunter at the bottom of the page and i'm sure he could set you up.
PM me if you have any questions.
