I made a mistake tonight reloading some 444marlin brass. I was using the RCBS expander die and forgot to backlit off for a light expand. Now I have a way over expanded brass and it won't fit in the resizing die. Any suggestions to be able to re use it or is it garbage?
Thanks
Put it on a flat hard surface like a work bench or table that will allow the rim to hang over the edge .Take a small flat metal or hard flat object plywood and roll the brass. It will fit in the die to be reflared to the correct amt then the sizing die. A cutting board will work too.No need to panic it's fixable.
How hard are you bearing down on it? Brass should just move where it's pushed/rolled.I've done this with both 38-55 + 45-70 ?
Never mind the above I'm glad you got it fixed....any imperfections in the brass will iron themselves out when you pull the trigger.......Harold
