Default Winter is here

Well it looks like winter has finally decided to show up.

Wondering which one of you guys ordered this weather? It certainly wasnt me.

I was enjoying the winter that wasn't.

Man alive is it ever ugly outside. Wouldn't be surprised if stuff is blowing off buildings downtown again.

Are you glad that it has turned nasty? Or were you enjoying this spring like weather we had?

As much as I hate the cold, it's great news for the oil patch. We can finally freeze in ome ice roads and get some work done!

-19 C this morning in MacKay River, snowing slightly. Maybe 2 centimeters of snow last night. Supposed to get colder.

I was hoping the snow would get rid of the wind. Nope! Now we have both.

Drove to Newell to fish yesterday and seen a sign just outside of Bassano Fire Ban in Effect no Open fires, how often do you see this in January. I like to do a couple of derbys in the winter this will help build up some ice and make it safer for everyone. All our nice weather has definately made it a shorter winter.

Sorry about that , I was the one who ordered the snow Don't be surprised if we get some more though , I actually asked for 2 feet in my initial request. I have a couple of sleds in the garage that need to be aired out .
Cheers!

Bought a snowblower this fall, hoping i could use it today, but there is hardly anything outside, should have invested in a windmill instead, with a wind direction vane.

I was actually enjoying the winter that wasent here. But as an ice fisherman a little cooler temps to get some more ice going is always welcome , and working in the oil patch it would be nice to get some more work done !

My son gave me one of those fancy, schmancy weather stations for Xmas, today I realised it actually reads temperarures below -10C........-18.5C this morning and the barometer is rising so I am hoping it is going to mean some cold clear weather for a while

Can't say I'm happy about winter, but when you're in the furnace business, a little cold isn't the worst thing....
