Default Bow City Fishing

G'day everyone. I've been trying to research what kind of fish I'm going to find in the Bow City area but haven't been able to get any definitive answers. I know they stocked the east pond with rainbows last April but I'm more interested in what is in the Bow around there. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

You could potentially get sturgeon there, also Pike, Walleye, Goldeye, many different suckers. I had something break my 30lb line near there. Huge variety.

There is very limited access to the river anywhere downstream from the Bassano dam and if we don't start getting moisture soon there will be a lot less access too. Bow City isn't far from Badger lake too so there's always that option for fishing close by if you get tired of mine pit trout
