Default Creating elk rubs.

So I have an area that has elk running through it and have infrequent pics of a few coming through.
Going along the one fence line the bulls have been rubbing the tops of the fence posts in various places which has me wondering.
If I pounded a few old posts just like the ones on the fence would the elk begin using them to rub on? If so would I be able to pick and choose the location of the elk rubs to suit my needs? I'm bowhunting in an area with sparse cover and being able to create elk scrapes and rubs would be a huge benifit.
Before anyone asks I work on the ranch the land is located and in fact was checking the fence when this idea came to me. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.
These are pics of the posts
I can't get the pics to upload properly but the link should work

I'd try it if I were you. Mock scrapes and vertical licking branches attract whitetails, even does and fawns will rub their preorbital glands on the branch and leave scent.
I bet if you pounded a few in they'd get used, and maybe the cows would rub their heads on them as well.
Can't hurt. Any tool to up your chances are worth trying. Put a camera there and see what happens...

Move one of the rubbed post to you chosen location. If you move a post whitetails have been using to a new location it will continue being used by other whitetails. I am she elk would follow suit.

great idea i didnt know you could do that with whitetails.
sadly though there is cows going into the field the elk are going to and an electric fence going right past where my blind is located so i have to come up with a whole new plan and look for a new elk spot.

Exactly....even got moose coming around my mock scrapes etc....doe urine dug deep into the scrape keeps all critters coming by for a sniff etc...game cam pics don't lie.
