Had a 2006 Chevrolet Duramax, and it was the best damn truck I've ever owned and probably will ever own. Never cost me a dime in repairs, ran like a spring chicken and pulled like a freight train. Me and that old girl had a lot of good times together.

Sold it to my grandfather after his diesel was written off. I hope to buy it back soon.

1977 Ford E-250 heavy-duty Econoline van. It was my 'work truck' when I was a flooring installer, but I designed it to be easily convertible to a, well, you know, - a 'camper'/RV . It was all decked out with carpeted walls, ceiling, bed. It was our honeymoon 'suite' - three and a half weeks to Florida.
Ahhhhh, the memories!

I had a '72 240Z for a while when I was 19, I loved driving it.

Also miss my '99 Jeep TJ that was built up with lift, 34" swampers, lockers front and rear, raised t-case with flat skid, etc

Oh, and I also miss my my 87 Landcruiser FJ60, also built up a bit

And can't forget my 84 Mazda RX7 - the over rev buzzer came on a lot.

I guess I've had a lot of vehicles that I miss.

I never had either of these cars but these were a couple of my favorites back in the day. Nothing expressed power and muscle car like these. I had a 74 road runner and it was nice but nothing like the 69-70 models.

Had lots of fun memories with it and it never let me down, the thing was a tank. Got a Tacoma now, needed a truck.

I've had well over 200 cars in my life so far and I would need a storage yard for all the cars I wish I had kept but a couple that stand out for me are My 75 Pontiac Grand prix 455 cid .It was a lot quicker than most people would believe, and My 97 F250 supercab 7.3 Diesel .

2008 Honda S2000 with OEM Hardtop (not shown), for sheer fun. Not that fast but just a total joy to drive.

Last Dance by Jo_Da_Cu, on Flickr

Honorable mention would be the 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupe - much quicker but not as involving.

My favourite vehicle (and maybe best memories) was my first "brand new" vehicle I purchased - a 1991 Toyota SR5 4 x 4 Truck with the good old bullet proof 3.0 V6 in 5 spd.

That vehicle went everywhere and anywhere I would point it - on trips and adventures, down steep goat trails, mudding and climbing up into areas where I shouldn't be.

My fishing tackle, Ruger 10/22, 12ga and 30-06 almost always with me in that truck.

Truck was sold with >300,000 km on it for only a few thousand less than I paid - literally.

I had the old famous 6 year unlimited km bumper to bumper warranty which was actually a real no questions asked warranty.

Truck was bullet proof. Great memories.

My old '88 4Runner that just kept pounding away, regardless of what I did or didn't do maintenance-wise. Plowed thru big snowbanks, and went along real muddy and almost "non-existent" roads like you wouldn't believe in 4WD.
"Almost" as good as a tank or other tracked vehicles.

The power train was excellent, but the body was so rusted out it was ready to fall apart in my hands; so I gave it to one of my daughters' boyfriends who's a half-decent amateur body-man.

IF he can get the body back into good shape, maybe I'll "buy it back" from him some day. Gotta pay him for labor.

Mine was a ‘78. Handled well but the front end was heavy and had no power steering.

I'm surprised to see so many ford trucks mentioned.
Who'd've thunk?

1972 Chevy 1/2 ton. Folks gave it to me when I turned 18. Spent lots of time with the old man doing body work and fixing the engine. Ended up moving away after college and sold the truck. The old man passed away a couple years ago and would love to get another one. Actually put out a message seeing if the one we sold was still around but can’t find it.

Default favorite old car

My old fav was a 1958 pink and cream Cadillac. You could fit half of the neighborhood in that thing.

We owned it for 4 years and is the only vehicle I've owned that's held 100% of it's value on resale.
We had a few of those... Starting with a '76... Had many adventures! Good times.

I still have mine, but with a 402 big block. Dad bought it new.
I have it up on blocks, and one day I am going to restore it. I drove it for a few years after I first got my licence at 16.
Same color and everything as yours

Back in high school grad year 75 I had a baby blue Cutlass Supreme convertable with white leather interior, alumimum mags and on and on. I was the man of the grad class but drove it way too much and couldnt afford to fill it on my high school salary. Kept it for a year or so out of school and sold it. If I had money in those days and could have garaged it would still be a wanted beast.

1970 FJ-40 , 350 ci, 350 HP 4 bolt, full B&B, twin remote oil filters and cooler, Advance Adapter headers, and Lakewood Scattershield hooked to a 1978 FJ-40 4 speed. Detroit locker in the rear and Tru-Trac geared posi in the front, 3" lift, 33" tires, 6 point roll cage, high back Volvo seats, double shocks f&r, front disc brake conversion. All work done by me and a couple of good friends, engine was built by a local Speed Shop. Zero to 60? unknown, 1/4 mile 13.2 @ 111 mph, she was quick, really miss her, owned for 15 years. One other thing, driving at night was not an issue, plenty of illumination, backed by a 100 amp alternator.
