Default Remington Firearms

Hang on to those remington firearms! Rumor has it that Remington Arms will soon be filing for Chapter 11 protection? Sure to affect the value of Remington fiearms - question is UP or DOWN?

This is pretty old news isn't it, unless they did not have a date set?
I thought it was in the news a month or more ago!

Probably not change anything as they will continue to manufacture firearms, just be a different owner/owners.

My understanding was that a few months ago they were in Financial crisis BUT always told the street they were on the road to recovery? They never talked Bankrupcy.
Chapter 11 - there is NO recovery!
On the other hand its not a Company I follow, so maybe you're right. I certainly wouldn't invest in ANY firearms company, but I do own a few of their guns.

This has been beat to death already.

A simple search word of “Remington” found this nugget.

Yeah, not sure what happened to Remington , sad to see another iconic firearms company go down the drain.
I do suspect however it may have something to do with the idea of making as much money for the least after sales service a company can give , and add to that our lawsuit Happy neighbours to the south not helping things !

IMO-Firearms built under the original Remington company up until, I don't, know the exact year, will increase in price. ie, a model 700 from 1974.

So what year would be the last of the “good” Remington’s?

IMO there are still good quality Rem 700's being made.
CDL's come to mind.

There are some Rem 700's that I would not consider.
