Default Calgary Gunsmith Recommendations

Looking for a gunsmith who can help me out with what seems to be a "stringing" issue with Sako 85 in 300 WSM. First shot is pretty much dead on and then they start going up and to the left. I have friends shoot the gun with similiar results. If any of you guys have any recommendations of anyone around Calgary who could help with the issue, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks.

Henry Rempel or Rick at ATR would both be good bets for this kind of a problem.

It sure sounds as though you may have contact from barrel channel to barrel causing the upward stringing as the barrel warms. You need someone with a firing range out back. Alter, test, done. Your man with such a range and skills is none other than duceman. He can borrow my dies if he doesn't stock that caliber.

Very generous offer gitrdun. Hopefully duceman can help.

save some money and try running paper around the barrel top of the stock to action see if it hangs up little sanding will fix that or bedding it might help as well

I would highly recommend Hillbilly Arms in Nanton. Check out his website. Good luck
