Default First gun Ruger 10-22

So took my course last fall, got my licence. bought a 10-22 never got asked for my card do you not need it for a 22.

Yes they should have asked to see it and if you buy one privately they need to see it as well

I think most stores write your pal number down on the bill of sale.

If you have the rifle, and a valid PAL
No one

But by law, the store has to make sure you have the proper license to purchase and possess a firearm.

Not you. It's not registered. But legally you have to have a pal in order to purchase or possess a firearm so your covered. Not your fault if they were not smart enough to check if you legally could buy it. I would say someone in the store that sold you the firearm is probably in a little crap..
