Default New Cocker Pup

Picking up the new pup on Wednesday-Birthday present for my wife.
Runt of the litter and is usually last in line for the food-So she is parking her butt in the food bowl to make sure she gets fed.

What kind of a cocker is she? English, Russian, Brittany?

Great choice. Had a few Cockers and they are a blast. Looks like an American cocker to me

Yup. American Cocker.
Will see how she responds to the numerous squirrels and magpies in the yard

Cute little gaffer. Had one growing up. Great dog but couldn't swim ha! So much for being a waterdog. He would only swim with his front legs without going anywhere. Not that he had a lot of exposure though so some lessons may have helped.

Picked the pup up yesterday. 3 hr drive home and she was a champ-Pee break in Claresholm and High River.

Only whined 10 minutes last night-4 1/2 hours in kennel without a mess.

Weighs 1500 g

We have had a cocker for the last 9 years. Funniest breed of dog I have ever owned! Swims like a fish and gun fire is no problem.
Good luck with your pup!

So far so great. Slept midnight to 7am no messes.

All early indications point to her being a good companion.Food intake is miniscule, 1/8 cup 3 times a day and never finishes a feeding, but she has good energy and climbs like a goat.Climbs stairs no issue considering her size

What a cute little pup. We've got two Americans and seeing those pictures bring back good memories of when they were younger. They are about 8 and 9 now. Very fun dogs and looks like you've got a pretty good one yourself.

Some advice that I might give is to keep those ears clean!

I can see why. They get dipped everytime she gets a drink of water,

Tried to catch her sleeping, but she opened one eye when she heard the click

Would flinging your pup into outer space count as Age Appropriate Exercise?

Tuckered out after my wife's birthday Brisket Fest.

Have a feeling some dope snuck her some brisket despite all my stern warnings of NO people food.

Little squirty today and super thirsty.

I dislike people in general, making poor decisions and leaving others to deal with the consequences

That’s always a problem when you have such a cute dog, lol! Everyone is trying to be nice to it and give her scraps.... my little guy knows that he gets all the ends off the cucumbers and peppers that we cut for a salad and waits for handout... He loves them! My wife and daughter always “treat” him with something. I gave up, and only condition is that the treat has to be healthy for him.

Tikka guarding/sleeping on the remote because Cesar Millan was on TV and it's her favorite show.
