Default Thermacell refills on the cheap

Spring bear season is just around the corner and that means mosquitoe season is too.

For those of you who use Thermacells, you can refill the butane and buy cheap pads online( I use aliexpress).

Thermacell refills are crazy expensive and I use one every day in the spring and summer. You can save hundreds of dollars by refilling and using off brand pads.

Search YouTube for videos on how to refill the bottles. You have to remove a small plug but then they can be refilled with a hardware store can of butane. And the last bunch of pads I bought were about $4 for 100

Do you have a link for the pads? Tried searching on AE and nothing shows up...

I have the aliexpress app so I can't send a link but just search mosquito pad. I just checked and there are a few different listings , so you should be able to find them no problem on the website or the app.

They're blue pads, half the size of the thermacell ones. Can fit 1 or 2 in the thermacell depending on how bad the bugs are.

There are some that come with a USB heating pad that can be plugged in to a Powerbank and avoid using the thermacell altogether. They work well but I don't think id trust them as as my sole bug repellent since they're super cheap so I still run thermacells as well

I also find using one of these models on a large butane bottle works wonders. This coupled with the cheap pads would be a winning combo.
