Default Christina lake b.c.

Heading to christina lake b.c. in a week.Does anyone know how the bass fishing is there, and would it be worth hauling a 17ft lund all the way out, leaving from red deer and its about a 8-9 hr drive.Might be better off fishing creeks and rivers in the area, thanks for any tips.

Default Christina lake

Yup I have fished it every summer for years. You can also catch some good Rainbows in there.
Its a gorgeous , warm ,clean Lake. Where are you camping or staying in a cabin. Definitely worth taking the Boat.
You will find a big weedbed with lily pads where the Christina creek flows out, The floating plugs are a hoot to use. You can catch Bass all over the lake as well as little kokanee.
The Kettle river close by is a lot of fun to swim in and there is some cliff jumping right where the old power generating station is and the water is very deep there.
The Old rail line , now trans canada trail from the top of Blueberry Paulson is a great gradual ride as you descend into the lake.
My in -laws have had a lot there for @ 20 yrs now.
Believe you would kick yourself if you left your Boat at home.
