Had a great day on the river today. With 16 fish landed and lots of long releases it was fun. 10 walleye,3 sturgeon and 3 goldeye.I caught my first sturgeon on a jighead and minnow today. Hook 2 of them landed 1 and lost a big one. The big one jumped out of the water 3 times. I knew I was'nt going to land her with my light rod.

What a difference a day makes. Spent the morning at the same holes as yesterday. We only landed 3 small walleye. We used sturgeon gear today and just could'nt hook most of the bites. They were more and likely goldeye.Did'nt see any sturgeon jumping today.

I found today a lot slower too, took me 11 hours to catch 18 fish. I think the odd clouds yesterday helped maybe. I saw a couple nice sturgeon jump today, but not on my line this time.
