Default What to do once you turn 18

Hey guys my brother who just turned 18 was wondering does he have to do another course or test for his firearms he already had his youth firearms license but he did not revive a adult firearms license?
One more question too since he turned 18 now would me and him be able to hunt by ourselves as I am 17?
Thanks

You just need a note from Mom/ Dad, this is in the regs.

Unlawful to: hunt with a firearm if you are under 18 years of age and not accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or by a person 18 years of age or older who has the written permission of the parent or legal guardian. Click here for Canadian Firearms Centre contact information.

He has to do an adult application including his test results.

The CFSC is good for life, unless you really mess up.

Be advised the CFP is at a snails pace these days, especially with mailed in items.

Seeing as how this info is coming from a certified instructor, I'm pretty sure you can take that to the bank!:thinking-006
