Default Shooting clays with the boy.

The weather forecast wasn't too promising. But alas, Gage had an itch for it and the new electric thrower needed a work out. As it turns out, once we arrived to our seclusive spot, the wind died down, the sun came out and it was a wonderful afternoon. Here are a few pics....

Dad, poppa and Gage

Ready.....PULL

Check out the ejected hull and the smoke belowing from the barrel....love this pic.

Yeah, he's cool

And finally, Michelle's 870 Express that she just purchased. I shortened the length of pull and added a grind to fit Limbsaver and dipped it pink military camo.

Default Awesome

Looks like a great way to spend a day with the family. Gage is lucky to have such a terrific mentor.

Nice job on Michelles gun, my girls love it!!

Man I am getting cabin fever bad, one of these days work will slow down a bit so I can get out with my boys.

In the meantime, thanks for sharing.

It looks like a great family day out, it brings back memories from about 40 years ago. I am anxiously awaiting getting trap and skeet going myself, but we still have a couple of feet of snow that needs to melt first.

That's Awesome.
The first time my dad took me out for clay shooting is and will always be one of my favorite memories, the pride of watching it turn to dust, the smiles..
These are the great days!

Looks awesome! Hopefully my buddy will take me out this summer to try my hand at this as well.

Curious, what are the chances of target load blasting the power lines? It would be awful for the lines to fall on you guys!

Looks like lots of fun. Nice family! Nice pink gun! You did a good job! Gage looks cool! Ask Gage if those yellow AAs are for sale? I will pay .05 each if they are not stepped on Save those gray AAs, If you are not going to load there are a few that will buy them.

First, we all thank you for the kind feed back. This is good medicine for the cabin fever that has been mentioned in vcmm's thread.

Good eye RatFink, we were being careful to launch away from the power lines and did move the launcher several time. You can't really make it out in the picture, but we are on the edge of a small hill. We placed the shooters downhill of the launcher for a bit just to change it up a bit. But the power lines didn't get hit.

Covey, if we decide not to reload, you will get first dibs on both the 20 and 12 gauge hulls. We've been picking all of our hulls whether AA or Fed's. I know you favor the AA's and we've accumulated a fair bit so far. Heck, after we were done shooting, we even picked up as much of the broken clay as we could. I even shot the pink 870. Michelle made me pose for a picture with it, sorry I omited to post it simply 'cause I know it would get a lot of mileage.....lol.
