Surprised on Mathews and APA ...however that most likely has a bearing on what the main dealers were stocking....I see APA rising in near future with bows like the M6 that is smooth at a smokin 357 FPS...

I have a torque-less grip. It came with my black 350, if you get one and want one I have one. I like to shoot with the factory grip.

Your choice, don't think it matters much in the field.

That was a common rule with old school bows...for a couple reasons...first the faster the bow the lower the Brace Height [BH] and not everyone can shoot a short brace height bow...although the bow of today is 100% more forgiving...

I still dont shoot short BH bows because I tend to hit heavy clothing even thou string stops have almost eliminated that.

Another reason was back in the day most didnt have the knowledge or access to proper spinded arrows and broadheads...

With modern technology we can now shoot a 9" BH bow that is way faster than the old school 5" BH smokin fast bows...

The APA M6 has a 6" BH which was huge back in the day...

Most smokin fast bows are duel cam ...hard to tune in the day and very hard to draw then..I remember one bow I shot had 30% let off

So that rule is not true today...there are some that cant shoot duel cam , short BH, smokin fast bows ...but that is mostly due to tune....both bow and shooter.

I have seen Bowtech prevail time and time again in the last few years from my experience and aquantences that shoot them. I have friends that can shoot just as well, but they aren't shooting the same equipment.

I am looking long and hard at the bowtech insanity cpx and the bowtech assasin, the one thing that I keep hearing about the bowtech insanity cpx is the vibration and that would be a turn off for me, I have heard nothing bad about the bowtech assasin

Well I just picked up a Prime Defy. I don't know if its the best bow out there but so far it is super quiet, accurate, has an amazing back wall & no hand shock. The only "down side" that I can notice is the valley is not as large as on my previous bows. So far I'm really happy with it.

Unless you are a pro shooter or shoot hundreds of arrows a day, I doubt that the "vibration" that people talk about would amount to a hill of beans to the average shooter. Most of today's bows are very dead in the hand and a pleasure to shoot. Keep in mind that the higher the speed rating of the bow the more energetic it will be in your hand after the shot. There are no free rides, but some are smoother than others.
