Minor Purchasing Ammunition

Hey everyone, I am 16yo, I have my youth PAL and was wondering if I am legally aloud to buy ammunition from Cabela’s without a parent with me. I am going out skeet shooting with some friends this weekend and needed to pick up some 12Ga target shells. I don’t want to drive all the way there and be told I can’t buy them. I know I bought .22 shells at Canadian tire but I had my mom with me. They didn’t ID her or anything but I’m not sure if that affected me buying them. Any info would help. Thanks!

I would suggest you phone Cabela's yourself and ask to talk to a gun counter manager as a staffer from the clothing dept isn't going to know. I have seen signs at some stores noting they only sell ammunition to PAL holders over 18 (Canadian Tire I think), but I don't know if the age requirement is store policy or the law, its never been an issue I had to deal with so I won't claim to know.

Ended up going to Canadian tire and bought 4 boxes without even being asked to see my PAL..... I’m happy yet disappointed
