If they are in your area, set up your cams over bait.
This fox came into a bone pile a few years ago and nobody had seen him around.

I love looking at the pics in this thread.
Have a cow elk tag for 336 and have had the camera out since mid September. A few does and a a buck on the cam regularly and elk only the once. Think their holed up on the posted land to the south east.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing he looks very young.. Its a nice spot but they are all nocturnal and mostly one timers or show up once a month

Think I'm gonna leave the trail cam out for awhile longer in hopes of getting a pic of the cougar that is roaming around the Lakewood Estates subdivision that I live in. Hope this guy survives the winter so that I can get another chance at him.

Here's what goes on in my front yard at night in the city!
I noticed several beds in my yard a while back so I borrwed a trail cam fro manitoban
My older brother wondered if the deer realized they were hanging around right under the nose of a serial killer!!
There are two bigger bucks in the area as well - I had one bust through the yard while I was getting ready to g to somewhere last week, hopefully I can get the on the camera.
Cat

That one in velvet is odd. Wonder if it is actually a female.

I did get a few more pics of the velvet buck and seen it running through the bush once. Looking at body size I'd say a buck, but who knows for sure.

I'd say yes I've seen lots of deer put on 30-40 inches in a year if they are young and have a good summer

It's very possible. The tines have same curve inwards. I was after a non-typical mule deer quite a few years ago. The landowners knew the buck well and had the sheds from previous year which scored 196. I was after him in archery season and they killed him the rifle season and he scored 236. It was the biggest mulie killed in Alberta that year. So my point is under perfect conditions a buck can pack on the inches from one year to the next.
