Default Vortex diamondback binos?

Vortex diamondback binoculars, are they any good? Looking for a Christmas present for my son in law, who is just getting into hunting. Tired of him borrowing my Swarovskis all the time. HA.

I picked up a pair while I was on vacation once to take to a Blue Jays game, they never really fit my eyes so I sold them as soon as I got home and picked up a pair of vipers HD.. way better glass than the Diamondbacks but some guys that have them love them.

Jim..

Good for the money, but if he's used to looking through swarovski's he may be disappointed lol

I’ve had a pair for 3 years. I don’t really like them. I find they fog really easy and the focus constantly needs adjustment. I just ordered some Nikon Monarch 7s and will be giving the Diamondbacks to my son.

Good cost Bulky and heavy. As a starter pair there fine but he will outgrow them would recommend the viper series there a bit smaller if he doesn’t have knockers or uses the cananadian tire specials it’ll be a huge upgrade.

Default Junk

I bought a set for my kids. Save your money. Two toilet paper rolls taped together would work better.

I have 10x42 Diamondbacks and I like them. They work well and I have not had any issues with mine. 3 of my friends bought their own and for the price point they are a great deal. Even amazing on sale.

I like my set, however I haven't owned any high end binos. Obviously if you spend a grand you will get a better product. As far as the under 500 price range I liked the diamondbacks.

They are OK and about what you can expect for bino’s In that price range. Depending on his hunting style they may be just fine. But if he does a lot of long range open country spotting they are not the best option
