Starting up a Calgary area Local

A couple of local trappers are going forward with plans to start a Calgary local. We are going to extent an invitation to all interested from Airdre to the Crowsnest. More to follow, thanks

That is good news the more trappers we can get together the stronger the "foot hold" trapping will have in Alberta.

Anybody, trapper's or not that are interested in a local should give me a call or pm me . I only have a list of names from the ATA and some of the phone numbers are old or not in service.
If you would like to get in on some trapping / snaring etc courses or some family get togethers or helping out a fellow trapper this might be for you.

When Don put out the invitation to anyone interested in trapping or trapping related activities WE mean anyone. Once we get the local set up there is allot of different cources we want to run as a local. Outdoor first aid, Outdoor survival, We could get gordie down to do a snaring corse, Man tracker Terry who is a local could do a tracking corce for us also. I hope things take off really well for the Cow town local

I wouldn't put your phone number up on the internet... i would have PM'ed him....

It could cause you to have prank phone calls and tele-marketers or something.

Hi again...I have spent some time calling people on the membership lists, which appear to be quite outdated, but that is not my concern. I set up a separate email account on Hotmail a few days ago and it has now stopped working...

If anyone has sent me an email since yesterday, I cannot read it! I have tried to get some help online from Windows Live, and posted on the General Discussion, but no help yet.
I just thought it would be more convenient than having Trapper meeting email come into my personal email. Hopefully, I can get it fixed soon. I should have everyone called by the weekend, hopefully.

Just wanted to say that me email seems to be working now. I just picked a simple email address:

calgarytrappers@hotmail.ca

It can be changed to something else later, if required. I posted a thread on the General Discussion page extending an invitation to non-trappers who may like to join, but so far have not had any replies. It looks like there is a fair amount of trapper interest, however. I will keep you posted.
