Of course just after we get back from Maui.

With the recession and our dollar my buying power for hobby items is now remarkably lower than a few years ago.

The lack of world confidence in the Trump show is devaluing the US dollar. That's good and bad for us. I'm hoping for a stronger Canadian dollar the next time that I go to Hawaii

Early Feb. I show .7675, but it tanked to nearly .72 later on, so it has recovered a bit since. Our dollar is 'largely' linked to oil pricing, (but not entirely) so I guess we're all hoping for the next boom? Like it or not...

Stop being so miserable. Do I have to do a screen capture for you? Hold your breath.

Even better, since you have no insight, move on. Go shadow box if you want to fight.

Trudeau has kept his mouth shut and Trump has opened his!

Cant wait for better dollar. Although we never get the full benefit. When we were par retail would say they were selling old stock, but when we go down for some reason prices go up because they are buying new stock? Canadian consumer always gets the "hold your ankles and accept it" treatment.

Rare parts, buy when found....

Found NOS front & rear valances for one of my 72s. $320.00 USD......cost me $457.00 CDN.
What is (maybe) worse, they are being sent UPS = good.
Bad is, sometimes & somehow, USPS gets their money grubbing hands on stuff before it gets to me, then hold it ransom !

I have found it is usually the other way around. USPS is reasonable with brokerage etc whereas UPS takes me to the cleaners. In addition, UPS uses a third party for deliveries in Lethbridge, who is less than reliable.

.04¢ or 4/100 of a ¢ is not what you meant to say type is it?

4¢ or $.04 are the same

To make a cent symbol you need the alt and 4 key simultaneously.

They have some bad numbers on whatever site you are looking at. I watch this daily and Canadian dollar is up about 1 1/2 cents in the past month.

I even pulled up the Xrates graph and that is what it shows too

I oil keeps going up we will likely see this contiue but I don't have a lot of faith in the price holding at 50 or higher.

I've be very careful what you wish for as far as a strong CAD dollar. Many oil companies and other exporters selling in US dollars and converting back to CAD are having their azzes saved because of the exchange rate. A higher CAD dollar will have far more affect on oilfield activity than anything Notley has done to date...not to pump Notely but just to put in context the importance of the exchange rate right now to a depressed AB. A return to par would be a huge hit to the bottom line of all oil companies at a time we can least afford it.

As a big net exporter AB has far more to lose than gain with a strong dollar. Sure you may save some money on parts and guns...but may lose your job or end up paying more taxes cause industry is in the tank and the gov't ain't getting those taxes. Its gotta come from somewhere...

i have no insight? ken i just proved you wrong as did a few others on here. its really quite simple. You said the cad$ went up 4 cents in the week. that is a complete falsehood. so now holding someone accountable for their yarn spinning is being miserable? whats worse is that even after you are proved to be incorrect you havnt the sense to admit it but on the contrary keep arguing making yourself look like a true boob.

Jeez buddy take a fricken pill. Ken DOES NOT spin yarns or publish fake news. He either read something wrong or was looking at a site with bad data. He is a quality guy and long time quality contributor to AO. Try to learn a little about the reputation of the guys that post on here before making an azz of yourself. This isn't Facebook!!!

Well after about 1 minute looking I found it, if you can't it's not my problem, and did I mention. Our definition of 'polite' differs greatly.

You were waiting. Not hardly a minute gone by. Bored stiff or desparately looking for a fight? You jumped into this guns blazing, you that tough in person?
