I wore red wings for 15 years but recently switched to Timberland Pros. I like them and I'm on concrete floors 12hrs a day.

KEEN MEN'S TACOMA WELLINGTON, been using them for the past few months. Best work boot I've put my feet in. Cabelas has them.

I tried several boots over the years, and I found Redwing to be the most comfortable on concrete and steel decking. They also last a long time, and the soles don't freeze like bricks in the cold.

I will never buy steel toed boots again. Last 2 pairs of boots have been composites. They are MUCH lighter, and dont hold or absorb the cold, which also means they don't get condensation moisture going from cold to warm environments. Loved my first pair of Timberlands. Second pair are Dakota, not a fan. But composite is awesome.

Timberland Pro Boondock 8", they come in brown or black, composite toe.
Mark's Work Warehouse, go try them on atleast.
Most comfortable boot I've ever worn, period... Been working in the concrete Industry for 7+ years.

Been wearing work boots since the late 60's, and nothing beats a Redwing for me. Comfort is tops, and they outlast any other boot I have tried. I usually get 3 years per pair in heavy construction , refinery environment with lots of sparks and hot slag .I just bought a new pair last week, these will probable be my last pair. They are also cheaper from the Redwing store than Marks, and the Redwing store stocks more styles .

Redwings
Marks brand boots last me half a year to 8 months tops. I've had red wings for almost 2 years and they don't show much sign of wearing. Also they are much more comfortable.

Terra, their Canadian made boots are most comfortable too.

I'm very happy with Blundstones. Over a year with no complaints. The lack of shoelaces makes changing work boots to rubber boots a five second task.

Canada west boots. Some redwings stores carry them now and they are better than red wings. Capitol hill shoes sells them cheaper

I bought a pair of Vibergs this spring. Made in Victoria, very well built boot, and a reputation for lasting very long. They can be resoled/rebuilt by a few shops. Expensive but everyone that has them seems to love them.

Except some models have soles that freeze solid in the cold. A co-worker bought a pair, and at -30 and colder, they could have been used for tap dancing.

Timberlands for me, But whatever you do buy make sure you buy the best you can afford. The cheap ones will screw your feet up, remember you spend a third or more of your life in them.

I was true to red wing but these timberlands are great. Had to switch insoles though. They were too soft with the stock insoles.

I have been wearing these as well. My one pair has lasted almost 4 years, but I have almost worn through the treads, so it is time for some new ones. I bought them from Red Wings in October 2013. I do get some grief about how they look when wearing shorts though.

All my workboots (summer and my 2 winter pairs plus rubber boots) are all composite toe. Had some Redwings, but most are now the Dakotas with the Quad-comfort.
I even have a pair of slip-on Wolverine shoes that look dressy with the composite toe. On my 3 or 4 pair in like 7 years, I wear them almost all the time. Just need my boots on jobsites.

Absolutely. You can get some with composite toe but steel bottom plates, or steel toe with composite plate. Can't remember, but I recommend all composite. CSA approved just like steel toe. Almost as light as a normal shoe or hiker.

I like the 2 boot approach.
Blundstone's for walking around, and Viberg's for working around.
I employ both. Plus a pair of Royer's for the coldest of days.
I'm not always on cement though.

Seems like Timberland is really popular here, gotta check them out the next time I'm at Mark's.
