Default I need your help!!!!!! Please!

Hey everyone,
I need your help, I am taking a couple of buddies fishing and they use spin gear. We rarely get a chance to go together and tomorrow is the first time in a long time that we are able to do this and it all happened last minute. I fly fish, and they use spinning gear, I am not sure where to go. I usually fish rivers and these guys dont have waders, just boots.

Where can we go? Its a guys day out, no kids, and just a get away.

I am not asking for your honey hole, just the name of an area that both types of fishing can be good.

I recommended picklejar lake but they are affraid of bears, so the second option would be chain lakes but havent fished there ever so not sure what to use or if I will catch any fish.

Please help any recommendation is welcome.

Thanks a bunch guys!

Hey bud try spray lakes, you can fly fish for whites and your buddies can jig some smelts (from your local supermarket) like superstore and catch some lakers. Other wise you could try grotto, sibbald quarry or wedge. Best time for these ponds: after 2-4 hours before sunset. By the way, i dont have waders and I do fine in the bow, just snags alot. Your buddies can use maggots or lures or even some flies with a weight.
Good Luck!

Any trout stream. You don't need waders to fish it just makes getting to holes easier. When spin fishing it's quartering down stream just like streamer fishing. Pick a spot and go for it. Small spinners and smal sinking rapplas are the ticket. Even for white fish.

Pine coulee res leech imitation on the bottom for you, smelts under a slip float for them.

check the regs though, there's weird closure times for it and I can't remember them atm...

Thanks guys,
needed up going to chain lakes and caught a small rainbow, not much else as it got windy. We ended up looking at wildlife and exploring the rest of the day.

No hatches happening, turned over quite a few rocks to find really small worms and that is about it.

In my experience, chain in the summer is a very marginal fishery. Some good days, lots of bad.
