Default Shorten draw length

How much in general can you shorten draw length by twisting the string on a 32 inch ATA bow?

You could probably drop that 32" to 31" if you wanted...may have a few knots in strings and a bow way out of tune...and 100 lb bow...as one twisting string to reduce draw lentgh... one has to counter with cable...which in turn increwases....So NOT advised...

Twisting strings effects all specs...ATA, BH, Cam timing, Draw lentgh, draw weight..............

Even a .25" will require twisting cable to make up specs as cable is twisted poundage will go up quickly...so to gain even that much ..other specs will suffer

If draw is is too long ..go down to next shortest mod or adjustment ...better slightly short than too long...

What Bow?

If the bow is draw specific..agreed ...however many bows have intregal adjustable draw mods where a quick adjustment can be accomplished...
Also many of same may have adjustable draw stops that will allow proper adjustment quickly without having to change cams...

If he has adjustable draw mods then use those, I wouldn't be twisting the string to change any draw length though. Only reason I will add or decrease string twists is if I'm tuning the bow or changing strings to get the bow back to specs.

If you need an 1/8" shorter doesn't effect too much going past that you'll lose more poundage than desired, holding weight will also go up.

If you twist up your cables to gain the poundage back the draw length will go up and back to square one.
