Default Santa was good to me!!!

Awesome Xmas...a couple of unexpected gifts from Roxanne, my wife...
one was a quaility Metal Detector...I was pleasently surprised with results
Since carbon arrows practically made the aluninum arrows obsolete I didnt think a metal detector would be much help finding Carbon arrows...

Which the metal detectors will NOT pick up as they are carbon but with even target tips the metal detector will pick up the arrow from over a foot either side making a two foot plus find range...and thats from a foot above...
I even buried one in the snow and no issue finding it...

An real asset for our outdoor range...looks like this spring I will have to change our name to something else other than L.O.S.T. Arrow....lol

My other big gift..was huge...a new "Antler Shed Detector" for all my bowhunting spots...

She is a puppy...already huge and super smart...The door matt in the first pic is a 30 " matt....and she is ONLY SIX weeks old!!!

An awesome cross bred ...Alaskan Husky...I used to raise the Alaskan Malamute /wolf cross for dogg sledding so I love the breed...than add Giant St Bernard for size and temperment...and the last third...Great Pyrenees...The huge Coyote Killer!!!
another assest on the Rural homestead

So I will have a sled/pack dog that will drag trees out of the bush for firewood and search for antlers, chase and knock down coyotes while carrying a rescue jug of spirts ...lol

And she is just so damn cute with those hook eyes...

Only downside is I am going to have to feed her more than a horse...lol

Her name is "Miss Pickles"

Ms. Pickles is a beauty! Nothing like a true friend to take along with you. Congrats.

Thanks gang ....she is a super smart whirlwind...a handfull
at 7 weeks ...most pups are not even weaned from mother yet...I usually dont even try training too hard until a couple weeks older...she already asks to go outside to poo...trained her to sit for treats in minutes...she sleeps in the shop with her stuffed toy coyote that she chews on without a whimper..

she is a awesome dog...most likely the last dog I will ever raise from a pup so I will enjoy

Thanks again
Neil

Neil - you should keep posting pics over the next year, it would be neat to "watch" and see how big she gets.

Really neat you can tune out things like aluninum pull tabs, bottle caps etc
I will probably update to a 10" coil for it come summer...
