Default Some trout from the weekend

Tried a new river Saturday, walked a couple miles stripping streamers, which I have never really learned how to do properly but thought I'd give it a try. I had a couple hits but nothing hooked up. Decided to turn back and nymph my way back upstream to the car. Tied on a #4 BH brown stone with a dropper, second cast into this slow, deep run the indicator goes under and I have my first brown of the season. Never got anything else the rest of the way back but it was great to try something and somewhere new.

Got out again for a few hours today on a different stream. Went with a foam hopper and copper john dropper, never tried the hopper/dropper before and I am now a fan. 6 fish today with 3 on each, the best one was watching a big white mouth coming up from below and inhaling the hopper. Gonna need a bigger net next time.

Thumbs up

Awesome stuff, Roger!
Nice brown & tank rainbows; bet it was fun watching 'em smash your hopper!
