Default Squealing Trim and Tilt on New Evinrude Etec 60 HO

Hello all. I am soo impressed with my 2017 Etec 60 HO , I bought a 2nd new 2018 Etec 60 HO for our sons boat . Today when we picked up the boat with newly installed motor , I couldn't help but notice that when lowering the unit with the trim/tilt the new 60 HO squeals . Lifting the unit sounded normal. Mine doesn't sound like this when lowering the engine. When I questioned the dealer he told me its the air working out of the system. Could this be true or do we have a defective trim/tilt ? Thanks in advance guys .

Air working out would mean that there is an open point in the system that it is bleeding from. Ask where that point would be?

Sound like someone knows not a lot about motors and I would make sure they have someone with know how look at it. Air leaking out seems a streach to me.

I am currently limping my etec 50'along w a Leakey tilt trim cylinder
I have some air left in the system from fluid loss and it does make some noise raising and lowering because of This.
Not what I would describe as a sqeaky noise though.
Not much help sorry.

Maybe needs some grease in the pivot points ? Some hydraulic cylinders do squeal when new. Tight / new seals in them. When they wear in the sound goes away.
