Default Eagle Lake Access

Hi everyone,

I am looking at going to Eagle lake for some pike fishing, I have not been in 20+ years.

Looking for a place I can launch my zodiac, doesn’t have to be a boat launch but that will work too.

The only boat launch seems to be at the campground, is that right? Any other places to access?

Thanks

There is another boat launch at the end of Range road 245. Have not tried it personally but from what I read its a b@stard to launch anywhere at Eagle.

I'm going to take my Zodiac out there tonight and see how launching goes. Worst case I'll drop her from the trailer and use the launching wheels.

Tight lines.

Thanks for the info!

If you don't mind, please let me know how the launch was tonight.

Just take the turn off to the Nursery, at the end of the road by the blue house on the left side is the boat launch. No issues loading your Zoldiak

Good pike along the west bank just fish along the weed bed, C&R only.

Have fun.

hey guys -- I know that those of us who are boat-less at the moment are kind of frowned upon, but is Eagle shore-fishable at all? We ice fished it semi-regularly this winter and had a lot of fun. We don't have a boat (yet -- pay for wedding first, then a boat..) so are always looking for places we can shore fish that aren't a monster hike from Olds...

Launch on the nursery side that I used is defiantly shallow. But we didn't have a problem pulling my 14ft inflatable onto the trailer or launching

In the past before it went C&R there were some guys who would wade out from the boat launch, don't know how stuck in the mud they got but they were there quite often.

Any chance that I could get my 18 footer in there right now?

Stay away from the campground. They charge you for the boat, truck, each person, and even your dog!

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the advice. I went out today and it was not too busy, had no trouble launching the zodiac.

Pikecrazed, not sure about an 18 foot boat, was only about a foot deep for a long way out, mostly smaller car toppers out there today and they paddled out.
