Default wold attack

Lets examine the facts, 1)wolf has been spotted in area on number of days,
2) Lady identified the animal as wolf. However CO's not sure it was a wolf?
Has anyone ever been attacked by a dog that was targeting a smaller dog?

I wonder if anyone is going to complain about the "black" profiling?

Had an incident with a pack of wolves in northern BC. People tell they were just curious, I think they were curious about how I’d taste.

There has been so much press about wolves being scared of people, everyone starts to believe it. They will take down a 1000 pound moose but are scared of people. Sorry I don’t buy it.

Do a search, wolf attacks, very enlightening.

Default wolf

BC7, you are correct. Wolves do take people as blood is same color as moose or elk. However many very hungry trappers over past hundred years were very aggressive on wolves and they learned a high respect for man.

Default Sure it wasnt a pitbull?!

I'm surprised that CBC didn't report it as a pit bull or at the very least a wolf/pit bull cross!

That respect doesn't carry through multiple generations once the onslaught subsides.

Look at Grizzly bears as an example, are they not becoming bolder in areas they are protected and outlaw hunting? In some areas the bears now consider a rifle shot a dinner bell and coming running to the sound, not away.

Yes wolves are naturally wary but any species can lose, or not develop a fear of man if they have no reason to feel threatened.

YYC, I totally agree with you on grizz loosing their fear of man, very dangerous especially for hikers with only small can of bear spray. Wolves probably also may change, however most hunters, trappers and ranchers always tend to try for them and learn man with rifle not good for their pension plan.
