Unhappy frabill blow out. any tips ?

So the out post blew out two grommets that hold the tent on the hubs , my first attempt at repair is a minor success. how ever the poles won't fold down to the proper size due to the washers I used interfering with the poles. ? Is there a repair kit . Will new grommets just get the same issue in a yr or two any help , thoughts or tips appreciated.

Gunner...

That sucks, man....sorry to hear that. I don't have any advice as I have never owned a Frabill. And to be honest, there is a reason for that. I seem to hear so many issues with their products.

I don't mean to throw salt in the wound there. Hope you get it worked out.

Three yrs of regular use, don't have any complaints. Sh happens just got to be smarter than the problem.

Took mine to a canvas repair shop and had the areas where the hubs hook to the tent reinforced. Works good but it took care of a hundred dollar bill.

If you go to the Ice Shanty forum and search, theres an old thread on a homemade fix with plastic gromets.

i used one of the pads that you put under a chair to protect a hwd floor. I just drilled a hole in it to make it just liek a felt washer. It is just flexible enough that it doesnt seem to be doing any damage to the tent material. It has lasted pretty good so far this year.
