I'm not big into them, but I have a couple nice springers. A Beeman R9 in .177, and a Diana 34 in .22. Both Excellent, the R9 is a little buzzy, but slightly more accurate, at least with the limited pellets, and shooting I've done.
I like the more traditional air rifles, and not too heavy. Something similar to what I packed around as a kid for a 1000 miles or so
I just punch paper with both of them, but I'm sure the Diana would hit a little harder. Salavee, I think you definitely made the right call on 177 for target shooting, just damn tiny for picking up to load.
