Not in the Edmonton area but Ginger at Timber and Tines does very good work. I had two Whitetail antlers done for a friend and I. Couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Beautiful carvings mounted on a stained base for a very nice display. Located in Blairmore. Shipped mine via Greyhound. Give them a call.

Default Antler Carver

Dennis Halitsky from the Hylo/Caslan area, between Lac La Biche & Boyle. He has done many carvings, some for some rather impressive institutions. His telephone number is 780-689-2077. This info was taken from the forums here awhile back.

There was an antler carver at the Edmonton gun show back when it was held at the Alberta aviation museum on Kingsway. I have his card somewhere, but that’s not going to help right now... anyway the guy did awesome work, not 100% sure but I think he was from Athabaska area, maybe someone on the forum bought pieces from him at the Edmonton gun show and knows who I’m talking about, meanwhile I will try to find his card.AEDF07A6-E1B5-45BC-805A-35811C093B9E.jpg

Old Thread Revival! I just found an absolutely stunning landing Mallard carved by Dennis Halitsky into a moose antler at a pawn shop. If anyone is interested let me know, I have pictures on my phone the anatomy of the mallard looks absolutely perfect to me and the detail is quite intense.

Default Antler carving

I carved for more than 30 years until the fine dust has caused a lot of sinus congestion resulting in day long headaches. Dr. has prescribed nasal sprays
but I try stay away from drugs if I can, so I quit carving. I used to go into my shop and go into a world of my own, it was like meditating, I loved it.
Thank you for the kind complements. Dennis

If anyone is still looking for a carver, Arlene Boyd by Rocky does some awesome carvings. She carved one for me a few years ago. Wish I had the cash for this sheep one to.
