Default Truck and trailer storage question

I'm storing a truck and holiday trailer for a friend.
Should I leave the truck hooked up to the trailer for the winter?
I put the jack down a bit to take some of the weight off the truck's suspension. But should I unhook completely?
The truck won't likely be used to do anything but pull the trailer next summer.
The trailer has a fairly substantial solar panel, so I'm thinking leaving it hooked up will keep the truck's battery charged up as well. I put some seafoam in the gas tank already.
What do you guys figure?

Wouldn’t hurt it leaving it connected. But having the extra weight taken off the truck is a good idea, only other thing I’d say is disconnect the truck battery and bring it in a garage or leave it in it. Maybe watch the air pressure in the tires of truck and trailer if the rims are aluminum.

Probably doesn't matter a whole lot either way. Putting the jack down does sound like a good idea. Just don't forget to lift it before moving the truck. Been there, done that.

As noted I would remove the trucks battery, but not so much to keep it warm and charged but as a theft-prevention measure. I don't know your exact location but even rural places seem to be popular targets for the scumbags that help themselves to others hard-earned possessions.

There have been times I would disconnect certain wires under the hood. When I was young I would even use it as a drunk driving prevention method for others.

only leave the solar panel connected if it has a solid state controller inline. They can burn up batteries without.
