Default Suburban Deer Photo

This photo was posted to a Calgary-related FB group that I'm in by someone noting they took it in their yard in the Canyon Meadows neighborhood. Not the clearest photo but the buck sure looks to be in great shape.

And I had to slow for a very nice whitetail buck while climbing the Sarcee hill. A few nice ones in behind COP.

He's a bruiser for sure. I seem to have them showing up behind my house every year, just grazing the berm without a care. I've stood on my deck and ranged them at 25 yards, and thought about how quiet Hoyt bows are....

couple days ago i was out in the alley winterizing my rv. looked up to see a small buck and doe coming down the alley. it was mid-day and they were just going for a stroll, i guess, nibbling on various things as they went. @ 5 yds, i could have nearly got one with my pellet gun.

.......course living in milk river is almost the same as being out on the farm!

Urban deer?
Johnny lives on the edge of town where Buck hangs out. Johnny and Buck enjoy enjoy watching TV together... until hunting season starts. Then Buck gets all rutty and Johnny could just kill him.
