I hunt pheasants once or twice per year with no dog to help me. It's rare when I don't limit out in 3 hrs, more or less. It's a great challenge- one that gets you kicking through the nastiest, gnarliest bush on the property. Released pheasants are pretty dumb all things considered. You don't need more than 2 feet and a heartbeat. A dog would be fun and a luxury. Taking a bunch of paraphernalia into this land and dragging it around sounds like way more trouble than it's worth.

But I still love the OP's ideas. Entertainment at it's finest. So glad the threads aren't all sterile around here.
