X3 it’s a long drive from Edmonton to get them but if your in the area it’s a must put stop. No other doughnut comes close.

On second thought, do they still have "mini-donuts" at the K-days(or whatever it's called now a days) ??? Those were EPIC and only available once ayear..Used to purchase 20 bags and freeze them, heat them up in the microwave, when microwaves were brand NEW

Thanks for the suggestions. Been a while since I've been to either Calmar or DV, and forgot how good those bakeries are. I'll have to check out some of the local suggestions, and looks like a road trip to Crooked creek is in order.

The best apple fritter I've ever had came from the Sherwood Park Bakery just off Wye Road.
Their boston creams are a small meal by themselves.
Get there a little after they open at 9 am and they're still hot.

Going to make a point of stopping by the Crooked Creek spot this fall!
I was always on the look out for the Crispy Crème fund raisers outside CT and Safeway.

I used to be quite friendly with one of the ladies that owned one of those trucks. She told me there was some sort of regulation change that effected the oil they could fry the donuts in. I think it had something to with the amount of trans fats they could use. While they are still good they aren't what they were 15 -20 years ago.
After the events she would hand my crew and I a 5 gallon bucket full of those suckers.

No wonder I'm overweight now
