Default Rock Lake

Does anyone know if the ice is off Rock Lake near Hinton? Has anyone had any luck fishing there. I have my mind set on catching a lake trout this summer but have no idea what i am doing.

Shouldn't be much ice left. Try hitting it up right around the opening week (may 21st). I have had friends do quite well trolling wooly buggers and leaches.

I'm from Hinton and We are heading up to Rock Lake a week early from the long weekend just so we can get a decent spot. The campground can get full fast but the road is good going in there.

last year, lake was iced over still on the opener, and about 20-30 yards out two weeks after. Also the sites are never full. at least not that i've ever seen. got over 200 sites(tenting included).

Get out there and have fun.
