They certainly know how to make it interesting. That flurry in the last 30 seconds of OT was pretty exciting.

Canucks won without Lui and Raycroft was amazing...can't complain! And wow...Edmonton, two 4 goal leads...shows the explosiveness of that Detroit team!

Did Detroit not score 4 in the third on your Nuks for the win?
And BP your post implies you believe that the Oil will be in the playoffs....on the bandwagon just in case the Shames do their post season faceplant again huh?

Nah, I just don't think the Coil have enough depth to make it in to the Playoffs this year, guess we will see come April 07/10....

Oh of course the Goalie thing..so really how many teams now days actually play a 2 goalie system ?? the CAP makes it almost impossible for teams to have 2 star goalies anymore, the Flames have 4 lines that can score alot of goals, they work on there "D" game with coach Sutter and they should be in good shape, they have a ton of depth unlike there little cousins up north....

How about that McBackup tonight?? 38 saves and looked excellent. I would have preferred a little better rebound control but he was the reason the flames won this game.

I believe the coilers have yet to beat the flames this season, and they probably won't. i also predict the coilers won't even come close to making the playoffs. I guess that is what happens when stortini is playing 20min. plus per game! the coilers aren't even close to calgary's depth. at least the flames won't get the H1N1 lol

Tough to compete when the team has the flu lots of injuries andthe wheel of lines going. Ah well season is still young and hopefully the Oil start to regain there early season form...GO OIL ..still confident in a playoff position.

Watch out for them Canucks...especially once they get healthy...just look at how good they've been injured...10-4 in last 14 and rash of injuries like i've never seen before!!!

i wish i could say that was all it is...but i just think we are far to easy to play against in our own end....and teams know it. just dump it in the corner, win the battle, cycle the puck for a bit and we fall apart and look like a pee wee team out there...easy pickings for teams that can play deep and pass well.

Agreed buddy. The Nucks have been looking pretty darn good considering they have had such a ridiculous amount of injuries. Raycroft has played well and the team is playing very tight defensively as a whole.
Every season has lots of ups and downs though. I fully expect there to be some more slumps, even after everyone is healthy. Then people will say stupid things like "they should trade D. Sedin and Luongo for a 2nd round pick because they played better without them" when in reality it's just the nature of an 82 game season.

Mchileheny (However its spelt) Beat the stars! As long as kipper doesn't get tired were fine in the playoffs. And with the Flames playing so well now imagine when Iginla and Jokinen turn it on hahah. Wankmenton fans will just have more to complain about.

3 game suspension???
I can't beleive that they NHL handed Glencross a 3 game suspension for that little tap on Drury . There wasn't even a penalty. Drury needs to quit hockey since he is riding on his, what 5th concusion . And Richards gets nothing. WOW

The Glencross hit was completely different than the Richards hit in my opinion. The reason, in my opinion, that Glencross deserved the suspension is that Drury never touched the puck.
Whether the "clean" hits like Richards' on Booth, or Mitchell's on Toews, or Phaneuf's on Okposo, should be penalized is a debate that will come up at the GM meeting. As of right now, those hits are fully within the rules. The hit on Drury was not.

H & F I agree with your assessment here, Glendross screwed up plain and simple, the puck was no where near Drury when the hit occured....I didn't here much arguement from the Flames camp after the ruling either so it is what it is..........
