I wonder how that would work in a wood stove with a chimney fire.

I don't think anyone's job is at risk

It's just another firefighting tool. Sometimes it works better/faster than a fire extinguisher, and sometimes not. Best example for 'not' is their examples of vehicle engine fires. The 'fire bomb' takes too long to go off ... a fire extinguisher (in the right hands) would work much better/faster.

Actually that looks pretty neat and effective. Have no idea why OP thinks people (firefighters?) will lose any jobs.
I'd buy a couple of those.

These are fire grenades. They have been around for a few hundred years.

Yup. Been around a long time. Used to be glass.

New excecution on an old theory. I believe they work by taking oxygen away from the fire.

Every vehical should have at least one of those.

Was an 3 floor appartment fire close to our place about a year ago. If there would have been a couple dozen of those in the atic space of it, I'm sure the damage would have been 1/2 of what it was. Fire was on the third floor and spread through the atic and roof. The three alarm fire took a few hrs to extinguish and when they were done, most of the top floor was gone. Lucky the whole building didn't burn to the ground. Complete inside of all floors had to be gutted because of water damage. Still rebuilding today and for at least another year.
