Default Can you help out Newcomers to Canada with a Donation of Wild Game?

A few weeks back, I started a thread asking for help in buying newcomers to Canada Christmas gifts...

http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showthread.php?t=273507

In less than 24 hrs, the generous people of AO donated $1800 to bless three families. Today I delivered gifts and was just humbled by the excitement of the children, and the gratefulness of the families, who are thankful to be in their new country.

During the meetings, I asked if they would like some wild meat, as groceries are so expensive, in all cases they said yes.

If you are in Edmonton, and have any deer, moose, or elk that is in good condition that you could donate, I have people who sure would be grateful.

Just let me know, and I would be happy to pick it up.

Merry Christmas,
sns2

Great Idea, unfortunately I have already donated some of my meat to a Canadian family that has fallen on hard times. Thousands of Canadian families need help right now I wish I could do more.

It's Christmas, can we drop that crap for 24 hours?

Doesn't matter who you help, just that you helped others.

Exactly. If one finds it in oneself to help, why put constraints on that help? We all bleed the same blood.

Sorry I don't have any meat to donate but I can only offer a suggestion.

Take the families out for some Canadian winter fun. Take them out ice fishing. I'm sure they would enjoy fresh fish...that they caught. The families should be eligible to get fishing licences.

Canada is over populated. Not our job to care for the 3rd worlders all under the guise and crap shoot of equality. Muslims or not, that is not the issue, we are full and past capacity.

People are people. I have an equal connection to a needy Canadian family as I do to a needy Syrian family. I am incredibly proud to live in a country that provides refuge to the world's needy. THAT makes me proud to be Canadian.

Canada is also one of the least densely populated countries in the world. Plenty of room.

If you actually helped any of the groups you mention in your post, you'd know how many things are wrong with your post.

This number is for migrants and refugees who have attempted to enter Europe by crossing the Mediterranean. That number for 2015 is 400,000 people, 72% of which are male. But only 51% of the 400k are Syrian, the rest are from a bunch of different countries.

Some of the racist kkk fellas on this site should be ashamed of themselves, you realize every Canadian is an immigrant? The guy is trying to spread Christmas joy. Normally don't post but this is sad.
