Caught some nice pike last winter. We had to walk on due to the floodwater. Biggest around 8lbs. Never tried it in the summer.

went this summer..

found the launch easy with my 14 foot boat.

Fishing was ok. probably got 10 pike in 5 hours, none over 5lbs. All our fish were caught on the eastern shore.

The lake is very deep (100ft), but very small. We were able to troll/cast the entire shore line of the whole lake. There has to be some big ones in there, but we couldn't find them.

The general consensus is that it historically had great fishing for large pike, but recently it has slumped off due to the extremely high water levels.

I used to do well at the lake in both the winter and summer (5+ years ago), catching lots of pike over 10 pounds. I was skunked on 2 out of 2 visits last summer and in 3 out of 3 visits last winter. However, I did talk to people who were catching their limits of nice pike now and then. So, maybe at the very least, it is not as consistent as it was a few years ago.

I used to try along the point just north of the boat launch, and in the reeds at the northeast end.
