Default I'm proud of my family! Christmas cheer!

Its no secret that Food Banks across the Province are in great need lately, and especially this time of year, and our little Food Bank here in High Prairie is no different. Early in December, my girls and I decided that we were going to do a little food drive for them, its the absolute least we could do with how good we have it, compared to some people in our area.

Our goal was 200 lbs of food, which I felt was a very attainable, but would also take some effort for me and the girls. My daughter Alison came up with our motto ( which I just love ) - Dude, Donate Some Food!

Through three different "door knocker" food drives, and donations from both my work and Tonya's workplace, we went well past our goal!

254 lbs of food for the High Prairie and District Food Bank!

It sure was nice backing up to the doors and unloading all the food - such a satisfying feeling
I'm happy my girls are growing up and having a heart for others, I hope this continues!

Great job!! I am blessed with awesome kids as well. This year we asked them how they would feel about sponsoring a family rather than doing a big Christmas for ourselves and it didn't even take a half a second for them to answer "FOR SURE!!!". Being 16 and 18 years old you might think they would want stuff for themselves but both of them said they only needs socks (they both love funny socks lol) and to do something for others instead...

Love when kids have thoughts of others in their blood!
